A school project where we had to work in a team and design our own project from idea to POC.
In this project we had to work as a group of six people that were randomly selected. The objective for the project was simple, design an app that can fit into the given scenario of reclaiming a lost world. The final evaluation was in the form of a presentation to present our product to "investors/stakeholders".
After brainstorming with the team we decided to create a bounty hunting platform. I was mostly working on the back-end again and because we were in our second year now, there were less problems where I had to help out other people this time. We were still helping where needed around the team with cerain design choises that had to be made and needed to be communicated between front and back-end.
We also took some time to get to learn about eachother, many of the people in my group from this project I still talk to today and we had a stand together on the christmas market for fun.
JavaScript, HTML/CSS, java, APIs.
Below are some examples of our POC we used during our presentation:
This project thaught me the problems that can arise from design choises in the planning stage of development as well as during the development phase itself. Also the choices made by one team can impact the other so communication is key when working on projects like these.
I also found the challenge of working with people I didn't know a fun addition because you get to learnabout different ways of development and learn how to adjust your communication when working with different kind of people.
